"Autumn Nostalgia"

Friday, April 29, 2005

Reds, yellows, browns.

Walking home from school, with a sense of longing.

longing for warmer weather, or prehaps longing for a lover.

The warmth of the afternoon sun.

The cold nippy air.

Everything is good, but with a touch of saddness.

The harsh prospect of the coming winter.

Yet, you are hopeful.

Everything is alright.

This is the kind of image I wanted to convey through a new tune of mine called, "Autumn Nostalgia".

Watching the video of the Spring Concert today made me realize how much all of us in Interlude have become comfortable with one another (Especially obvious through "Big Rig"). I would have never pictured our little choir group this year to once again be a mix of such amazing people. Although the turn up wasn't that great I think Spring Concert was amazing. APAC choir is a trip I will remember as well. Thanks a lot for all the memories guys. I've never done this but I think I need to give a shout out to each person.

Maya: I'll never forget when you sang Arthur's Theme when you were in 8th grade. That took a lot of guts. Rainen mo yoroshiku.

Chris B: My respect for your vocal talents grows everytime you perform. Lets make the best out of next year man.

Maana: My fellow K-Krew. Thanks for being cool enough to take all my ijime. Your vocal talents are yabai man, kore ijyou umakunaruna! Rainen mo yoroshikuna.

Yu: Hey man, iro iro to kattatana~. In the practice room. Don't underestimate your vocal abilities man. Have confidence! Rainen mo yoroshiku.

Sarah MOORE: Gomene, had to put in your last name. Kotoshi iroiro attane, SBC troubles...Blackbird...Isn't It (Zenbu oreno fault! haha). Everytime you sing, Im blown away, no joke. (I know its cliche but) Thanks for being who you are. Rainen mo yoroshiku!

Takuma: Man...thanks man...just for everything. I know it hasn't been the smoothest ride but I seriously could have not gotten through these past few years of highschool without you. Keep up the singing (anta umasugi) and rainen mo yoroshiku, lets make the best out of it ne.

To those who are leaving us this year:

Tomo: Not only will your presense be missed in Interlude but also in Jazz band. Your musical knowledge astounds me. Good luck with everything that the future holds in store for you.

Rika: Not only will your presense be missed in Interlude but also at *** & Dave's (hahah). But seriously, hope you keep singing, it would be unfair to your voice if you stopped now. Good luck with everything.

Susan: Where is Interlude gonna be without your quiet comments? Your Norah Jones-esque voice will be missed. Good luck with everything.

Amy: "Watsssss?". Amy ga inai Interlude te arierun? Arieneee~. "Once Upon a Matress", English class, and Interlude, your presense will definetly be missed. Good luck with College and everything in the future.

Mitsuki: I thought I was gonna see you blossom on the stage at CA. But honmani congratulations and good luck in your new school. You've got amazing talent. no joke. Have confidence in your abilities because its going to take you far. Don't forget me when you get your record deal.

Hiro: Hiro my hero. Remember dropping pub for Interlude? Damn, we regreted it for awhile but now I'm kekou glad. haha, I hope you feel the same way. Thanks for all the laughs man. Don't stop with the beat boxing, were gonna jam again soon. Good luck in college man.

Ellie: What can I say Ellie? Iroiro arimashitane. Haha, you have no idea how much I respect you for vocal talents as well as for being who your are. You have been an inspiration. Keep in touch and maybe we can have coffee in NYC sometime :)

Jon: Damn man. Where do I start? Can't say enough. Just remember you always have a back up drummer in case the guy in your band is sick or dies or I kill him or something. Thanks for everything, these past 12 years? I've lost count man. Good luck in Berkely, its gonna be a blast.
