Lake Nojiri

Friday, August 06, 2004
Today I will be leaving for my annual summer trip to lake Nojiri in Nagano.

So, (to those few who come to this site) I won't be updating for about a week.

I'm finally going to get some much needed exercise, fresh air, and sunlight.

Music Brings the People Together

I hate to admit this but Madonna is right, "Music makes the people come together, yea-". I really felt this as I was singing along while watching Jack Johnson perform at Nanba Hatch on Wednesday. What I realized was that even all the Japanese people were singing along. I bet that more than half the people had no clue what they were singing but they were singing anyway. That really felt great. Music truely has no boundaries, language is not an issue, nor is culture, nor ethnicity, the love for music truely unites people.

It's really interesting how people can communicate through vibrations, because essentially, that is what music is.

Someone once said to me, "Music the purest physical vibration of human emotion". Think about that for a second, read it over. Because it took me a few seconds to really realize what that meant. And it is true. And that is why music can bring people of all kinds of backgrounds together.

The Jack Johnson concert was great, I hate to use this word but it was extremely "Chill". It was extremely laid back and relaxing. I managed to sneak a few photos (I love my phone).

Updates

Monday, August 02, 2004
Being that it is Monday, I was searching the net for the Flash, pics, and news so I could update my sidebar. While I was doing this I came across several flash animations that made me laugh, real hard. I thought these 3 animations would be worthy to mention in a post. Here they are,

#3. For this one you need to be familiar with Dragon Ball, sorry for those who aren't.
A Day in Dragonball World

#2. There are no words to describe this...the tune is pretty catchy though...
I've Seen Things

#1. Just watch it, if you don't laugh I'll buy you a sense of humor for Christmas.
Shut The Fuck Up

Home Recording

Sunday, August 01, 2004
This summer I have finally got together a home recording system. I use my computer to record, edit, mix, and publish my music. It's been really fun to finally be able to record in a semi proper way. With this system Im planning to finish a CD by the end of the summer (Running low on time...) The photo below is my "Studio", very messy and definetly not sound proof. I actually record the vocals at night because during the day the cicadas in the backyard make for very annoying background noise. Other than that there aren't many problems, the neighbors might have some...
