Good Times

Tuesday, October 19, 2004

The other day someone was showing a video of the Lip Synch (My freshmen year) in the cafeteria. One of the acts I did was a music video I made with my friend Sage. The song was Bohemian Rhapsody.

I watched myself being projected onto the big screen in the auditorium with a mixture of emotions. I was proud, for sure, but I was also really embarassed. The nerve! I was a freshmen who was plastering his face onto the screen infront of the whole school...

Anyway.

Afterwords, a bunch of people came up to me saying how young I looked in the video. I didn't notice much of a difference, but then again, Im not always looking at myself (Or am I...?) When I got home I looked through my photos and dug out pictures from freshmen year of our little Ska band, the Dragons.

As I flipped through them, I began to notice how much we all have changed in these past two years. Two years doesn't seem like such a long time, but by looking at the pictures it became obvious that the 15 to 17 gap is quite large.

It's really going by so fast.

I honestly still feel like a freshmen, and I'm already a junior...Getting prepared to leave for College is still not sinking in. It still seems like something so far away. But it's not.

I'm definetly not saying, "I don't want to grow up!" I'm actually enjoying life (This entry is not a "Im depressed and Im sad!" cry for help). It's just that when I think that I'll never be able to relive these days that I'm experiencing, it really makes me want to cherish them.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, enjoy life. I have no right to give any advice on this subject but,

Cherish these moments, you only get them once.
Live life to the fullest.
Experience everything so you don't regret anything later.
Stay close to those you love.

I hope we all have moments we want to relive, because it shows how much we appreciate life. Man, I wouldn't mind reliving those Dragons days.

Good times...
