The Move

As some of you may have noticed, I have not updated in awhile due to the fact that as I type these words, our family is still in the process of moving. Right now we are staying at a monthly apartment which we will leave in little over a month to another house which we will then leave to finally arrive at our new home (Which is currently under construction).

These past two weeks have been hectic...

It still hasn't quite hit me that I cannot go back to the house I had lived in all my life. Its odd, I guess it feels like when a far away relative who you don't know dies, and you are not sure if you should feel sad or not. I guess that sums up how I am feeling now.

Considering that my folks had been living there for 26 years, I was pretty amazed that we got everything packed away.
With the help of a couple of people we hired, the 26 years worth of STUFF was packed up and driven to a storage room...

4 times...

Yes. Over the years we had accumulated 4 truck loads of god knows what.

During the packing phase my trusty iPod provided us with some good old Beatles tunes.

The process was long, we would constantly find ancient nostalgic items that would cause us to stop packing and examine it.

A collection of can tabs (From Mr. Hengal's snack attacks), A Gheko doll I bought in Hawaii when I was 8, and the original lyrics from the pub song.

When the old dusty photos came out everyone took some time to flip through them.

Gen and I. Probably in Kindergarten

Natalie in first (?) grade

Along with these personal treasures, I actually found some items that might be worth some money.

How much do you think these Spider-Man comics from the 70's are worth?

One thing that was (and still is) very strange to me is that no one knows. Let me explain. To me, my life right now is in total chaos, but I arrive at school, the same time as I always do. Nothing is different about me at school. This tremendous event is occuring in my life, but when I go to school, its like its not happening.

In a way its refreshing. I go to school, life goes on. Everything chugs along like it always has been. Theres something comforting about that.

Friends remain the same

They act like they always do

Whether you like it or not

Life goes on

Cheers to that
