You put the Happy in my Ness

You can tell a song is really good when you think to yourself, "Man that should have be mine!". I just felt this the other day when riding back from Kobe on the train with my trusty companion the iPod.

The song that should be mine is Ben Harper's "Walk Away". It's an acoustic piece with just him and an acoustic guitar, accompanied by the soft chirping of insects the background. I find it amazing when a song can have so much emotion with the bare minimum of production, just a guitar and vocals.

The lyrics that really got me were "You put the happy in my ness", so simple and yet really clever. Also "They say time will make all this go away, but it's time that has taken my tomorrows and turned them into yesterdays."

It should have been mine...

Anyone have those kind of songs?

hmmm.....well I understand how you feel...kindof. It's not like I'm into the hip-hop culture. I wear b-ball jerseyz, simply because I love IVERSON and MJ. Yeah there are many hip-hop songs that sounds GAY. Well I guess I tend to listen to allot of hip hop because the beat kindof syncronizes to my walking pace. So everytime I walk I always listen to hip-hop. Also whenever I feel like "Fuckin' swearing like a muthaFucka!" I listen to hip-hop...Yeah I should listen to more rock musics. I actually tuned into a MainStream Rock Radio station, but all the songs were gay. Kondo nanka good rock music shyoukai shitekure(^_<) Yeah looong ago there were some songs "THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN MINE." but they were all Japanese songs from like Gospel or like Yamazaki Masayoshi (dakke?) I rarely feel emotionally attatched to an American song. Maybe it's cause I don't really understand the language that well, or maybe it could be because I feel more confortable and can express my emotions better in Japanese. Haha well well nice entry!
Hiro, HERO, Hiro, HERO, Hiro <---Owkay I don't know why I did that..

10:36 PM

I know what you mean. And its true, when you feel more comfortable with a certain language you can express yourself better. Or in this case, you can understand the subtle nuances of the lyrics. Yamazaki Masayoshi saikou. And I'll make you a mix of Rock anytime ;)
